Ms Elayne Ang, a former banker, left her corporate world to set her own hawker stall at Block 84 Marine Parade Central in 2019 with her partner, Mr Samuel Tan, who is formerly an army regular.

With zero experience in the F&B industry, the two gathered feedback from the customers, scouted famous carrot cake stalls and eventually perfected their carrot cake in six months.

Through hard work and perseverance, Tian Kee has now become the best carrot cake stall at Marine Parade Food Centre.
